First in the woods, then on sidelines, and eventually wherever light does something worth chasing.
I've been a photographer since 2005 - starting as a dedicated hobbyist chasing birds and landscapes,
going professional in 2014, and never really stopping either one.

The Blue Ridge has been my backyard for most of that time -
and the longer I'm here, the more I find worth photographing.

I know where the fog sits in the valleys at dawn.
I know the overlooks that don't show up on anybody's Pinterest board.
I know the light in October and how fast it moves in March.
That's not something you can fake, and it's something I bring to every single session.

My work is rooted in weddings and elopements -
the kind where the mountains aren't just a backdrop, they're part of the story.
I also photograph senior portraits for people who want something that actually looks like them, not a template.

In addition to my own clients,
I work as a second shooter & associate photographer alongside other wedding photographers -
which means I've logged real time on wedding days at every scale, in every kind of light, under every kind of pressure.

Outside of photography, life is full and life is good!
Coffee is non-negotiable.
Dogs have my whole ♥ heart ♥
And, as we recently said goodbye to the last of our animal companions, our home is officially in its empty nester era -
with our kids grown and living their own lives.
It's quieter now, but I'm getting used to it.

I LOVE to paint - acrylics mostly, and digitally when the mood calls for it.
I find that making things with your hands, in whatever form, keeps you honest about what beauty actually is.

My husband and I are building something I've been dreaming about for a long time -
· Cobble Creek Cabins ·
Elopement & Micro Wedding venue
right off the Blue Ridge.

This work isn't separate from my life.
It's woven into how I see - the light, the land, the quiet weight of something real. It shows up in everything I make.
If you're planning something in the Blue Ridge -
or you want to bring me somewhere worth going -
I'd LOVE to hear about it.
