As a black belt and martial arts instructor, I've spent years training myself to stay calm under pressure, read movement before it happens, and perform consistently when the stakes are high. Those aren't soft skills - they're the difference between missing a ceremony moment and nailing it.
As a former business owner who managed 10-12 employees and 40-50 client properties weekly, I understand logistics, timelines, and what it costs when details fall through. I am organized, punctual, and genuinely obsessed with keeping things on track.
I've graded land, worked outdoor construction, and spent years doing the kind of physical labor that most photographers haven't. Heavy gear, difficult terrain, and 12-hour days on my feet - I don't just tolerate it, I'm built for it.

Trained composure isn't a personality trait - it's a practiced skill. I stay focused, quiet, and effective when the timeline slips, the light changes, or the ceremony moves faster than expected. You won't hear me panic, you will see me work.
OPERATIONAL RELIABILITY
I arrive early, dressed professionally, fully equipped, and briefed on your shot list and timeline. I don't need hand-holding, I need a clear objective and I'll execute it.
PHYSICAL ENDURANCE
Long days, outdoor terrain, and back-to-back coverage don't wear me down. My physical background means I can carry, climb, reposition, and keep shooting long after others hit a wall.
COMMUNICATION AND WORKFLOW
I prefer to receive a shot list and timeline in advance. I should in Full Manual mode, RAW + JPEG, on dual card slots for real-time backup. Files are delivered via same-day card hand-off or 24-hour RAW upload through Lightroom. I follow your lead, stay out of your shots, and communicate clearly and briefly throughout the day.

Based Meadows of Dan, VA and Denver, NC - I serve the full corridor from Floyd, VA south through Winston-Salem, Elkin, Mount Airy, Gastonia, and Charlotte, NC and everywhere in between.

COMMUNICATION PREFERANCE
I communicate primarily by email and text. I respond within a few hours during business days and will always confirm receipt of your timeline and shot list. No surprises on either end.
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU
A shot list and run-of-show sent at least 48 hours before the wedding day. Clear communication about your preferred working style - whether you want me close hanging back. That's it. I'll handle the rest.
