How far in advance should I book?
For weddings and elopements, I recommend reaching out 6-12 months in advance
- especially for peak fall dates which
book quickly. Senior portrait sessions typically book 2-3 months out for spring and fall.
That said, I do keep limited availability for short-notice bookings, so it never hurts to ask.

What's included in my online gallery?
Every session includes a private online gallery with full-resolution digital files for personal use
- printing, sharing, and keeping your memories. Commercial licensing is available separately.

How long until I receive my photos?
Senior portrait and engagement sessions are delivered within 1-3 weeks.
Wedding galleries are delivered within 2-4 weeks and elopements, 5-7 days.
I don't believe in making you wait months for images of one of the most important days of your life.

Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. A retainer is required to hold your date, with the remaining balance due before your session or wedding day.
I'm happy to workout a payment schedule that fits your timeline - just ask.

Can we choose our own location?
Yes - and I encourage it. If you have a place that means something to you, let's use it.
If you're not sure where to go, I have a long list of locations throughout the Blue Ridge that I know and LOVE.

What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
We work with it. Some of the most beautiful images I've ever made were on overcast or rainy days
- the light is soft, the colors are rich, and the moments are just as real.
I don't reschedule for weather. I adapt.

Do you do traditional posed portraits?
I do both. I'll make sure you have the portraits your family wants,
and I'll also spend time capturing the real, unposed moments that you'll actually feel
something when you look at years from now.

Are you the photographer who will show up on our day?
Yes. Always. I'm a solo photographer and every client books me directly.
I occasionally bring a second shooter for full wedding day coverage
- I'll always let you know in advance if that's the case.

I'm drawn to the in- between moments - the laugh right before the kiss, the quiet look across the room.

RAW files are not included in any package.
You'll receive fully edited, high-resolution JPEGs delivered through your private gallery.
RAW files are unfinished images - delivering them wouldn't represent my work or serve you well.

Absolutely yes. Pets are welcome at portrait sessions and elopements.
The more the merrier - and honestly, some of my favorite moments happen when a dog gets involved.
